Michael S. Day, MD, MPhil

Dr. Michael Day is a physician whose practice focuses on longevity, healthspan, and sports performance.  Dr. Day completed his undergraduate studies in Classical Languages at Georgetown University, where he graduated summa cum laude.  He holds a master’s degree in Greek and Latin Languages and Literature from Oxford University. He attended Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. He then completed a fellowship in orthopaedic sports medicine at the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY, where he worked with the team physicians for the New York Jets and the New York Islanders. Dr. Day is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He is the author of numerous research publications in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. 

 

Though awed with the power of surgery to fix the broken, he was nonetheless unsatisfied with traditional medicine’s inability to prevent disease and promote optimum performance. His current practice allows him to take a highly personalized approach to these aims for each of his patients.
